H'ART ENTREPRENEUR

HART Entrepreneur provides your community members with: the skills and knowledge in tourism, understanding of your community’s tourists through a Tourism Feasibility Study, and guide students in their passion for tourism business plan development. This highly interactive course is delivered in your Nation. We work closely with your team to ensure that we meet your objectives.

The Indigenous Community for Leadership and Development (ICLD) offers the Hospitality, Art, Recreational & Tourism (HART) Entrepreneur. HART Entrepreneur provides your community members with: the skills and knowledge in tourism, understanding of your community’s tourists through a Tourism Feasibility Study, and guide students in their passion for tourism business plan development. This highly interactive course is delivered in your Nation. We work closely with your team to ensure that we meet your objectives.

 

 

Tourism full-time program:
  • Create entrepreneurs in your community to increase employment rates and develop your economy

  • Understand First Nations diversity in British Columbia, Heritage Interpretation, Cultural Hosting

  • Strategize on how to gain the most from tourism while preserving culture

Tourism Entrepreneur:

A person who acquires skills, Traditional Cultural knowledge, and tools to confidently start their own Tourism business. 

 

 
We will achieve this by:
  • Community Support: Working with Chief and Council, Economic Development, Office Staff and Membership.

  • Student Empowerment: In class instructors and mentors will work with students to build confidence to ensure success.

  • Business Plan Development: students will work with mentors to develop a business plan that will be ready to send to the nation, funders, and/or other loan agencies.

  • Leadership Development and Skills & Trades Training: Industry certifications depending on student’s business needs, such as, First Aid, Serving it Right, FoodSafe etc.
