Community Computer Camp

Community Computer Camp is a highly successful, one-week training program. This customizable program engages community members and employees in exploring computer fundamentals, working with the internet, learning about Microsoft Office, and developing social media skills. Participants learn more of what computers can do and how to manage files, programs and troubleshoot the most common issues as well as caring for technology.

 

One-week training:
  • Introduction to Computers                               

  • Introduction to Microsoft Office 

  • Introduction to the Internet                              

  • Working with Social Media 

 

 

Program Features
  • Customization of content to meet community needs

  • Flexible scheduling to support traditional calendars (feasts and food harvesting)

  • In community training; trainers travel to customer sites

Topic Features:
  • Computers: explore the computer and operating systems. Show how to manage files, programs and troubleshoot common computer issues, and how to care for technical equipment.

  • Microsoft Office: learn the basics of Microsoft Office for creating documents, managing data and presenting ideas.

  • Internet: learn how to safely use the internet to research and record information, access entertainment, and more.

  • Social Media: connect with social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter to connect with people around the world.
